Galle Fort
Founded in the 16th century by the Portuguese, Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, before the arrival of the British. Udawalawa Nationl Park
Udawalawe National Park is a national park. It is two and half hours drive from Galle . It is famous for elephant safaris and waterbirds.
Ella

Turtle Hatacheries
There are few turtle rescue centers and hatcheries around Galle. Five turtle species , Leatherback, Loggerhead, Green and Olive Ridley lives around the Sri Lankan coastal lines.
